SHINE LOGISTICS SOCIEDAD ANÓNIMA, is a Nicaraguan logistics operator with a license issued by the General Directorate of Aquatic Transport (DGTA) number 388, Governed by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure (MTI).

Shine Logistics, is a company established in 2019, by our founding partners who have more than 20 years of experience in Logistics and Customs in the Nicaraguan Market. We work with different agents in the world, to guarantee Multimodal Transport services (Maritime, Land, Air), Insurance, Customs agency services and various logistics operations for our clients in Nicaragua, and we continue hard to search for new agents for a better positioning in the national market.

What does it mean to register as an importer or exporter before the General Directorate of Customs?

It is a service which the user requests for the accreditation and authorization of his registration in the customs computer system of the General Directorate of Customs to carry out imports or exports through customs declaration.

Who can register as an importer or exporter before the General Directorate of Customs?

Natural or legal persons, either by himself or his duly accredited legal representative to carry out customs procedures before the General Directorate of Customs.

What is the final merchandise import regime?

The definitive import regime is the entry of merchandise from abroad for use or consumption definitive in the customs territory.

What is the final merchandise export regime?

The definitive export regime is the exit from the customs territory of national or nationalized goods for definitive use or consumption abroad.

What requirements must I meet to register with the General Directorate of Customs as an importer or exporter?

In the case of legal entities, the requirements are the following:

  • Letter of request addressed to the Director General of Services Customs (DGA), justification indicating the type of merchandise to import or export according to their economic activity.
  • Duly registered deed of incorporation and bylaws.
  • Deed of General Power or General Administration of the legal representative duly registered.
  • Copy of ID of the legal representative/ID of residence Nicaraguan (current) collated with its original. the Copy of the Unique Taxpayer Registration Certificate (RUC) issued by the DGI. Checked against its original.
  • Current Tax Solvency. Checked against its original.
  • Notarial declaration of the tax address, emails and telephone numbers.
  • Certificate issued by the DGI: Economic Activity, Registration Permanent or Directly Responsible.

In the case of natural persons, the requirements are the following:

  • Letter of request addressed to the Director General of Services Customs (DGA), justification indicating the type of merchandise to import or export according to their economic activity.
  • Registration of a natural person in the property registry.
  • Copy of identity card of the legal representative.
  • Copy of the Single Taxpayer Registration Certificate (RUC) issued by the DGI. Checked against its original.
  • Current Tax Solvency. Checked against its original.
  • Notarial declaration of the tax address, emails and telephone numbers.
  • Inspection of the tax domicile
  • Certificate issued by the DGI: Economic Activity, Definitive Registration or Directly Responsible.
